Program: Adaptive Reuse of the historic Dunbar Hotel, a 1920s National Register-listed hotel in the historic Central Avenue Jazz District of Los Angeles. Steven Fader Architects served as Historic Preservation Architect, responsible for the historic preservation aspects of the assisted housing development. Scope included renovation of the historic public spaces, including restoration of lost elements, including an Atrium reflecting pool, decorative lighting, and custom carpeting, as well as design of new lighting, ceramic tile, Atrium skylight, interior finishes and furnishings.
